Recently, I had an idea for a new project. This time, it doesn't involve any mice or cats or any fancy JavaScript animations. I don't want to reveal too much, for fear of someone stealing my idea, but I will say a few things.
I'm thinking about creating a new 'technology' of sorts. It will be a new way of finding various types of media, based on an advanced tagging or aliasing system of some sort. It will create custom 'collections' of media on the fly and provide relevant results to an end-user very quickly.
It is a technology that could work for many different types of data, and so I believe eventually it could be 'sold off' as a licensed redistributable package. Until then, I will try to produce a few technical demos. My intention is to get something online as soon as I can, and not to faff around too much with fancy user interfaces and excessive AJAX niceties, I'm going to keep it simple and functional for now and build on it if it gains some momentum.
This blog will serve as a development journal for this project and others, and as a place to tell you all about how great my life is! Thanks ;)
